Am 19.07.1972 wurde das Schiff von dem unter zyprischer Flagge fahrenden M.S. \u201eGOTLAND\u201c im Nebel gerammt und ging um 21.15 Uhr unter. Die Besatzung konnte \u00fcber das Heck von Bord gehen und wurde von einem Seenotrettungsschiff an Land gebracht.
